this refrigerator as are all refrigerators advertise with pictures that we can put gallon milk jugs in the door shelves. i've never had a problem in the past and of course that is a key advertisement of all brands. upon use of the door shelves, they started cracking and coming loose, breaking. we rotated the door shelves but those would crack and come loose also. once reported to samsung, the tech said it was customer abuse for putting gallon milk jugs on the door shelves and they would not be replaced. i believe the problem is the poor design of making each shelf 2 pieces. i will no longer purchase samsung products

Our refrigerator is just over a year old and has a crack under the cooling tray. Ice is forming in the bottom of my refrigerator. The crack is in a location that is has zero access and is covered by the cooling try and cooling pantry lid. Technician said that he had never seen anything like this, but that it isn't covered under warranty, now we are stuck with a defective product. After calling customer support, I was informed that there is nothing that can be done. cant' express how disappointing this is, and that samsung won't back their product. Not a dependable product

we purchased this four years ago and got the extended three year warranty. about a year after we bought it, it started leaking water at the corner of the deli drawer. twice we had this fixed. it was covered under the warranty. it has started doing the same thing-the repairman told us it was a common problem with this model . of course, now we have to have it fixed again at our own expense. it leaks so much it spills onto the floor. we are concerned that it will ruin our floor.
we had to buy a new refrigerator today-a ge model. probably should have done that to begin with.

we have already spend $911.42 in repairs costs for our samsung french door refrigerator to keep it in operation for just 2 1/2 years. our requests to samsung for help covering these repair expenses have been ignored.
during my long life and four homes, i have never before owned a refrigerator that has been so expensive to own. if i face additional repair costs it's likely that i will sadly junk this refrigerator and replace it with another brand.

brand new fridge sounds like a train at random times. rattles constantly. ice overfills the bucket causing it to spill to bottom of freezer where it is impossible to reach unless you take the entire freezer apart. touched a wall bringing it into the house and left a massive scratch on it.

i purchased this refrigerator in march of 2020. the salesman warned me that it was poor quality but i needed a fridge fast and this one was available. i wish now that i had waited. as soon as i got it home, i noticed the deli drawer was extremely flimsy. it is hard to open and close. just a few weeks after we got it, the handle on the freezer came off. luckily it was an easy fix, because it comes off about every two weeks now. the ice maker tray design is a joke. every time we open the freezer, ice gets knocked out of the bin and either back into the freezer or underneath it. haven't figured out a way to fix this yet so we just have random ice cubes in the freezer all the time. about a month ago, the door started squeaking. i would not recommend this product.

i haven't been impressed with this refrigerator. i don't know what grade the stainless steel is - but it dents and dings very easily. our other stainless steel appliances (not samsung) subjected to the same "wear and tear" do not have any dings or dents.
the plastic shelf on the door broke in half.
2 pieces of plastic broke off the corner of the handle on the freezer when i was lightly cleaning it.
we have not had these type of issues with any other refrigerators (other brands) we have owned in the past. these issues have occurred with normal, every day use.

we purchased this samsung refrigerator in may 2020 because of the spectacular reviews and high value in price. however, just after using for less than 6 months, the freezer stopped working and all our frozen food got defrosted. the fridge also started to make loud noise. this is actually not by coincidence. our previous fridge which was left by the previous owner before we bought the house was also samsung. it stopped working after we moved in for 6 months and exactly the same problems. we were thinking it might be because that old fridge has been working for about 10 years, so it is still acceptable. but our new fridge is only working for 6 months and have the same problem now. will never by samsung fridge ever again!

we in louisiana just went through hurricane zeta on 10/28 wednesday. that evening at 7 we lost our power and didn't have a generator. i didn't dare open the refrigerator until the next afternoon when we were able to get ice. when i did open the fridge i was amazed to see the items were still cool after 18 hrs. the next morning i opened the freezer to check that and low and behold my meats were still frozen. the only thing we lost was the ice cream. the ice cubes were still frozen. this has saved me $$$$$$ in keeping my meats frozen for an extended period of time. we didn't get power turned back on until friday @ 5:00pm.
all i can say is this refrigerator is well insulated.
i'm glad i bought a samsung.

this fridge looks great and has plenty of room for storage. but it has broken down after 1 year and 3 months and the freezer no longer works. tried troubleshooting with no luck. so now stuck with a fridge out of warranty with a freezer that is, at its coldest, 47°f. if you want this fridge, buy the extended warranty and be prepared to use it. better yet, buy a better product from a different brand (we are going back to a competitor as the last fridge worked for 10+ years with no repairs and was only replaced because we moved and wanted "new").

i wish i had read more reviews before purchasing. sure enough, like everyone else, issues with ice maker ice buildup around the fan. only 3 months in. wish i had purchased a different brand. samsung has great electronics, but not refrigerators.

Impossible to clean bottom glass shelf

you need to be a rocket scientist to take out the glass shelf above the fruit/veg bins. took 2 people to pull it out. one person holding in the clips (the divider between the 2 bins) at the same time with 2 butter knives while the other person lifts the shelf out. unbelievable. then once you get it out of the fridge you need to unhook 2 more clips to get the glass out. if you read the instruction book it explains how to take out the shelves to clean them but not the bottom shelf which is the one that always gets dirty first. also the markings to adjust the temp in the fruit/veg bins have already disappeared. i've had this fridge for 8 months. do not buy.

three weeks after the one-year warranty on my expensive samsung refrigerator expired, an internal sensor in the refrigerator failed that required a $420.00 repair to remediate.
needless to say, i was deeply disappointed in that experience. the local repair technician would not even agree to visit and diagnose the problem unless i paid for the service call in advance.
although the technician had the replacement parts and got my refrigerator working again, i certainly did not expect to need an expensive repair after such short ownership. i also hope that this experience does not portend the need for additional expensive repairs.
unless i receive many trouble-free years from this appliance, my recent experience would not motivate me to recommend this refrigerator to any of my friends.

the part that supplies water in the back of the ice maker started leaking down the back of the refrigerator. we had no idea until our would floor started cupping around it. when we discovered the problem is had already caused $6000.00 in damaged to our floors! will not buy another samsung product.

the fridge is not set up to any water source/icemaker.
but a month after the warranty ended, the veggie drawers started filling with water randomly. then after a vacation we came back and found the floor wet where the fridge seems to have flooded. we can no longer use the bottom veggie drawers and have to regularly empty out the water. sometimes there's a layer of ice across the bottom (we tried adjusting temperature to no avail)
so unhappy with this.
will never buy another samsung fridge.

i wouldn't recommend this product. right door handle is loose and the freezer handle broke off. only had it about two years and samsung says warranty has expired. this is the second product i've bought and had issues. last time was a washer that i had the drum spin out of control, they sent someone out to fix it and it broke only a couple months later. be careful what you buy seems the products don't last long.

bought this product july 2018.
oct 2019, freezer makes loud noise and stopped cooling. requested service. was told defroster was broken and fan was full of frost and was not cooling properly. defroster and fan was replaced.
april 2020 - same issue. defroster and fan replaced.
may 2020 - same issue. defroster and fan replaced.
i think anyone would agree that this is a complete defective product.
still under warranty but i am not getting appropriate service for refund/exchange.

Simple...hook up the water supply, plug it in...done. Factory settings are all I needed...no adjustments necessary. This unit is also really, really quiet. The only noise I hear is when I get ice...the ice level drops activating the water fill sensor and water fills the ice maker.

The repair man has been here twice. Changed out ice make and that didn't work. came back and changed a circulating fan in the freezer. It still doesn't work. Repair company says call Samsung. Looks to me that they should replace the fridge since the repair man has not been able to fix it.

Love the roominess inside and the bottom freezer. I am disappointed because I cannot figure out how to remove the part just above the meat and vegetable bins so that I can wash it. Underneath the front edge of the glass, something has spilled and I cannot get to it to clean it thoroughly. I like to take all the parts out of the refrigerator and wash them at least once a month, and I cannot figure out how to get this part out. It appears to be built in. Any assistance is appreciated.

Initially I loved this fridge, but after a couple years it began leaking water inside which pooled up under the bottom drawer in the fridge and then froze into a huge sheet of ice, making the bottom drawer unusable. Eventually, since the water continues to leak, it overflows from the bottom and begins dripping out, into the freezer, and all over the floor, until you finally figure out where it is coming from and call for repair... Repairman said he thought drain tube was clogged, that Samsung had poorly designed their system, so we defrosted for 3 days, he cleared tube, and we were all set. Wrong. Noticed a few months later it was leaking again, though who knows when it began as there was already a sheet of ice. More days of defrosting being without our "new" fridge again...repair guy says likely evaporator sensor is bad. So we replace that. Two weeks later, leaking again. Another repair visit coming tomorrow for who knows what this time. Bad temp sensor in freezer? Regardless, this fridge has been a huge pain costing hundreds in repairs and many many days of being without it. And every time I begin detailing the problem to a repairman, he says "let me guess, it's a samsung?" My experience says stay away from this fridge. I am very disappointed in Samsung and will never buy another fridge of theirs again. Potentially not any of their applicances if this is the sort of product they make.

Purchased in November 2017, and still like the purchase. Very quiet, makes a good supply of ice and really appreciate the benefit of the dual cool system. The dual cool allows a higher humidity in the fridge compartment. Vegetables last so much longer. Even lettuce doesn't quickly dry out.
Well insulated, condensation doesn't form on the outside. Living in humid Houston this is a big plus.
