i will never purchase a samsung appliance again. my house is just over two years old, and was built as a custom home. i was so excited to have samsung appliances because they look so pretty. but every single one has had issues and it has been a horrible experience. now, this microwave just died. of course it is out of warranty so there is nothing i can do. my samsung tv has lasted 10 years with no problems. my appliances have been terrible from the start. every single one of them has had an issue. never again will i buy an appliance from samsung ever!

The oven looks good, works well. In terms of functionality, the oven has all the functions I need, including a timer to use around the kitchen. I like the ability to set the power level of the oven; this way, I can warm the food to the temperature I want -not too hot or too cold. The only thing that is bad is the plastic skin of the door (mine is white color, not the stainless steel version). It cracks, with 2 small vertical cracks. Small but visible.

As I write this review my microwave has only been in service for a few weeks. I bought it to replace an earlier, similar Samsung model that I really liked and that, ironically, died about one month after the magnatron warranty expired. As it was actually cheaper to update to a new model then repair the old one, so here we are. First off. I much preferred the all-white interior of the older model to the gray interior of this model. It's far easier to see that your microwave needs cleaning in an all-white interior. Maybe that was the point of switching to gray. That said, I prefer a clean microwave to one that hides the dirt. Second, I really like the settings guide listed on a sticker inside the door frame. That was a nice, easy, inexpensive, thoughtful addition. Third, I really like having more control over the auto-defrost setting because it allows customized food weight input. Sure, it takes more button pushes than my old model, which only required one push per 0.5 lbs of food weight (push once for 0.5 lb, twice for 1.0 lb, three times for 1.5 lb, etc.), after which it auto-started after a few seconds of no additional input, but that is a good trade-off for having the ability to specify food weight in 0.1 lb increments. I also like that if you don't act on the prompt to turn the food over it will just continue defrosting rather than stopping. Fourth, the top mounting holes were in a different location than my old model, forcing me to drill new holes into the cabinet under which it is mounted (which is now full of holes), but the mounting strip on the wall was identical, so that was nice. I also did not like how the top of the microwave buckled out when tightening the upper mounting screws. There should have been a rigid member to prevent this. It took several attempts to balance out a secure upper mounting with a minimum of buckling. Overall I'm very satisfied for now. I rate it 4.5 stars out of 5.

Am having to go through a horrible process of uninstalling and taking back to my point of sale , reordering a new one, waiting for it, and reinstalling. Extremely loud rattling/humming sound during heating process. A sound that makes me afraid to even use it. Hopefully after installing a new unit it will perform as expected. For now, expected it to work flawlessly when brand new so at this time cannot give a favorable review. Was assured at best buy that among all major appliance makers, Samsung stands by their product and costumer service is second to none. I am having doubts already.

I've had this product for 6 months, and up until now it's been good. However, I am now experiencing an issue where it loses power on and off. It doesn't trip my fuse box and the outlet is fine. I've done some research and it seems to be a known issue with Samsung microwaves at least since 2007. Last night the power kept shutting off every time I opened the door and tried to heat my food. It would turn off as soon as I opened the door. I reset the clock after the power came back on and left it alone overnight and today it is working fine as if nothing happened. It's still under warranty, so at this point I think I'll have someone come take a look, as I'm not sure if it will keep happening or not. I wish that merchants would publish lists of known issues to help customers decide if they want to purchase and possibly have to deal with such issues.

My main problem with this microwave is the newspaper users manual. The directions are confusing and not very helpful. It took way to long to figure it all out. Registering was also a mess. Samsung needs to work on making these things more user friendly.

I would not recommend this microwave. It stopped heating just two months out of the 1 year warranty. I contacted Samsung who had an authorized repair person contact me and the megatron (which has a 10 year warranty) is bad but also several other of the electronics! Would have cost more than I paid to buy it to fix!

I hate my microwave! You can not use the kitchen timer while running the microwave and you can not run the microwave while using the timer! I've owned several other brands of microwaves and NEVER had that problem before. The "Melt" and "Soften" programs do not work properly. The soften doesn't soften and the melt explodes the butter all over the inside of the microwave. The "buttons" on the control pad are so hard to push that it takes a few attempts. It breaks my heart that this microwave is so awful. I really thought it would be as wonderful as my Samsung televisions are.

Bought the Microwave on 12/12/16 thru retailer online. Received the microwave today, 12/19/16. Installation was a snap. This oven is replacing a 16 year old convection/microwave and although the old oven was only a 1.1 cut, this new 1.8 cu ft installed in the same space. The mounting bracket was different and I had to drill different holes, no problem. Plugged it in and everything works. This matches our Samsung stove which we bought in April at local retailer. We love the oven and I am certain the microwave will be just as wonderful. We have faith in your products. this oven was significantly higher than the old oven.

The Touch Pad is nearly impossible to use. The buttons require you to use the very end of your finger and many times they still don't respond. The Button layout is confusing and uninformative. The interior light is so dim that you can't see your food thru the window. But at least it hasn't caught on fire yet, like the S7 Note!

Just installed this product. Had one 3 years old that just died. I really liked that one but this "newer" version is not better. The cavity is black now instead of white and I have a difficult time seeing in a black hole. The cavity light is too faint to be effective. I will have to keep a flashlight handy to see in the cavity. I am so disappointed and it may be the last Samsung product I purchase.

I had a previous Samsung that finally quit after 11 years. I was hoping the install would be similar and it was. Used the same catch plate and just had to drill a few top holes close to the previous holes. So far it is working great and now they added a black inside to the white exterior which looks more classy.

The overall rating is good, however, the design needs a little change. For instance, the slightest touch of the rack on inside of microwave causes it to fall. The hooks that's holds it in place needs to hold the rack in place better. Also, the contrast of the letters on outside keys needs to be darker, because the light grey color is hard to see and even harder to read in light or dark.

I love the way this microwave looks in my kitchen. There are differences that I am trying to get used to. The inside of the microwave is a dark color & I prefer the white color that was in my previous microwave. Also, I use the kitchen timer a lot, but I haven't found a way to actually cook in the microwave while the kitchen timer is in use. Definitely is even in its cooking! I was concerned because our previous microwave was 1500W & this one is only 1100W, but no worries, this one definitely outcooks the other one! This microwave is much cleaner looking than most. It doesn't have a lot of "nooks and crannies" to clean out. I guess I am just very particular in the clean appearance of my appliances. I love this microwave and will get used to the differences and sure I will find more things that I love about it! We purchased this one because of the reputation of Samsung appliances.

We purchased another Samsung microwave to replace one purchased in 2012 that caught on fire and melted the door. The new microwave fit into the old brackets, making it easier to install. It has the same features as my old one. The buttons are hard to push and eventually, show finger indentations on the most used ones. I hope this one last longer than the old one.

The door melted on the bottom, should be covered under warranty, can't recommend it unless the product is either replaced or parts given to repair.

The features are very adequate, without being so overly sophisticated that they're useless for the average person. Sometimes simple is better. Downside: There should be at least three bolts securing the front of the microwave to the the cabinet so as not to distort the top panel at the front. My 10 year old Samsung (almost identical to this one) had three bolts. Secondly, a previous reviewer reported the touch buttons take more pressure to push, a slight annoyance. He was absolutely right. So, if you are feint of finger, choose another. I'm happy enough.
